Who Are We?

Derek & Sonia

We’re a husband and wife who have learned that following Jesus doesn’t mean having everything figured out. We’ve walked through some incredible times together, and some very difficult ones. Through all of it, God has been faithful.

Our marriage, our family and the places God has taken us have shaped much of what we share today. We don’t minister from a place of having all the answers. We share from what we’ve lived, what God has taught us, and what He is still teaching us.

We’re still learning. Still growing. We just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Their marriage had reached a breaking point. Derek left with no intention of coming home. Years earlier, Sonia had prayed three words she didn’t yet understand: “Teach me to war.”

What followed became a journey of prayer, surrender, brokenness and discovering what it really means to fight for a marriage when everything seems lost.

We have seen what God can do. He has met us in our brokenness, restored our marriage, and changed the direction of our lives. Because of what He has done for us, we believe He still wants to bring hope, healing and restoration to homes and marriages, to youth and communities, and throughout Indigenous Nations. We want to lay down our lives and go wherever He opens the door.
