My Nehemiah Walls

I had to believe and trust God to restore my marriage.

My husband stopped all communication with me and only called to talk to our two young boys. I was broken! I had to believe and trust God to restore my marriage.

I found a place of refuge on a gravel road on the outskirts of the city. I went there everyday.

Then one day while I was out there praying, I had a profound moment with the Lord. He spoke to my heart that while I was praying His Word, He was holding back the darkness. The Lord was holding back the enemy’s plans against my home. The only plan the enemy had was to destroy everything. But God’s Word had power and I needed to keep praying.

After a couple of months my marriage was restored. When my husband came home he said, “You built a wall.” He was right! I had been building precept upon precept. I stayed on my wall when I wanted to give up. When the voice of the enemy came to threaten or pull me off my wall, I kept building.

Like Nehemiah, he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem because he knew without them his people had no covering or protection. They were open to any attacks from the enemy.

We must build our prayer wall and believe the Lord for our prodigal children, our marriages and our nation.

“My Nehemiah Wall is my fortress and I will stand on my wall!”

Nehemiah 2:17 – Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.
The enemy may have come against your home and destroyed the walls and it seems like everything might be in ruins, but when you begin to pray the Word of God and stand on the promises of God, those walls will rise once again!
